A baby tee is a fitted, slightly cropped t-shirt. Shorter sleeves, a closer cut through the body, and a hem that lands at or just below the waistband. It is the opposite of the oversized tee, and that contrast is exactly why it works.
Where it came from
The baby tee peaked in the 90s and early 2000s, worn with low rise jeans and tiny sunglasses. When y2k style returned, the baby tee came back with it, this time usually worn with high waisted bottoms, which flatters far more body types than the original low rise pairing ever did.
How it should fit
Fitted, not tight. The seams should sit on your shoulders, the sleeves should end high on the arm, and the hem should touch the top of your waistband. If it pulls across the chest or rides up past your waist, go a size up. Our size guide has exact measurements in cm and inches.
What makes a good one
